The Right Type Company is run by two friends turned business co-owners, Natalie and Lea, with a combined 10 years of experience between them in transcription services and service delivery throughout the city of Winnipeg. Both have worked in transcription positions linked to the University of Manitoba Student Accessibility Services, University of Manitoba Graduate Students Association, Society of Manitobans with Disabilities, the Manitoba League for Persons with Disabilities, and various freelance side-projects. Feeling as though more could be done to provide the city with adequate, reliable transcription services, Natalie and Lea are embarking on cultivating a business to both ensure that quality work is being pushed into the market, and freelance transcriptionists have a place to gain more visibility and contract work.

We employ transcriptionists from various educational and experiential backgrounds that are adept in utilizing specialty terminology in their transcribing and document creation. Fields include, but are not limited to, general sciences, biological sciences, medical terminology (general), medical terminology (specialized), general arts, sociological sciences, psychological sciences, and respirology.

Upon discovering a gap in the market for professional, experienced transcriptionists that could assist in evolving tasks related to live captioning and data transcribing, co-owners Natalie and Lea decided to form The Right Type - a company both providing quality transcription services and a hub for freelance transcriptionists to attain contract work and gain more visibility.
